HOW TO REACH THE PORT OF GENOA
From
one end to the other, Genoa extends about thirty kilometres
along the coast between the end of the Ligurian Gulf and
the rear-lying Apennine Mountains. The port infrastructures
extend continuously for almost 20 kilometres starting
from the old city centre to the far western end. They
can be reached quite easily by road thanks to the numerous
port connections to the city road and motorway system,
providing direct access to the various terminals and storage
areas from the rear-lying urban network.
Thanks to its proximity to the Cristoforo Colombo airport, located on a man-made peninsula created by fill-ins in the immediate vicinity of the oil port, along with the two main railway stations serving the western and eastern parts of the city, the port of Genoa can also be reached very easily by anyone arriving by plane or train.
